Let's Travel The World

Κάποιο καλοκαίρι στην Σέριφο, καθόμασταν από το πρωί μέχρι το βράδυ στην παραλία του Άι Σώστη και κάναμε πλάνα όλη η παρέα για το πως θα γίνει να κάνουμε ένα roadtrip στην Αμερική. Από τότε έχουνε περάσει πολλά χρόνια, roadtrip δεν πήγαμε ποτέ, ταξιδέψαμε όμως σε άλλα μέρη. Το πιο βασικό από όλα όμως είναι ότι εκείνο το καλοκαίρι ήτανε το πιο ωραίο της ζωής μου. Όταν έπεφτε ο ήλιος εμείς κάναμε στάση στο route 66 για να ξαποστάσουμε, μιλάγαμε με ντόπιους Αμερικάνους και δεν καταλαβαίναμε λέξη από την βαριά προφορά τους, ξοδεύαμε τα τελευταία μας δολλάρια σε μια ρουλέτα στο Las Vegas... Δεν τα ζήσαμε, ήτανε όμως σαν να ήμασταν εκεί. Και ίσως, λέω εγώ τώρα, ίσως φέτος να τα καταφέρουμε.

Some years ago at Serifos, me and my friends were sitting from early in the morning till the sun was going down, at Agios Sostis beach and we were planning a roadtrip in USA. From that summer separates us many years, we didn't make the roadtrip, still we travelled other places. The most important thing is that that summer is the best of my life.  When the sun was coming down we were making a stop at route 66 to take a breath, we were talking to locals and we didn't understand anything because of their accent, we were spending our last dollars on the Las Vegas roulettes... We weren't there but it was like we were. And maybe this year we will be there, just saying.
